Emma's Poems

Summer
Summer ocean waves
Sun setting in the evening
A beautiful sight

The Goose
There once was a goose with two heads
So of course he took up two beds
It was sure hard walking
He avoided talking
Cause he is a goose with two heads

First Flake
I love the first snowfall of the year
The glistening snow drifting on down
While some people flee
I fill with glee
For Christmas is soon here, I see!

The Creek
The birds are chirping a happy song
The water is rushing by me
You can see the tadpoles swimming, one after another
The sun is shining through the trees, not a cloud in the sky
As I sit by the water
Time passing by and by

Walking barefoot in the creek
My feet are tickled by the mud and moss packed in below me
The sun is slowly setting
As I head back
The day getting old

Cow
The big black and white cow
Spotted and speckled
Walking across fields, stomping and stomping
Might stop to eat some grass, chomping and chomping
Then lets out a loud MOO
Watch out, big black and white cow coming through!

Tickle Monster
This is a tickle monster
A tickle monster lives in a triangular pyramid at the tippy top of Turkey
A tickle monster eats tortillas and the tastiest tacos at Taco Bell
A tickle monster likes Target, tickling, traveling, and trees
A tickle monster traps turtles to train on Tuesdays
The tickle monster tickled me till I traveled to the terrible Taiwan with him

Winter
Fall is passing
Winter is near
We are all getting ready for holiday cheer
The air is cooler, my breath is spotted
Christmas is soon upon us

The turkey is cooking
The family is gathered
Thanksgiving is here, bringing good cheer
The Black Friday sales are really popping
Everyone is doing some Christmas shopping

The wreaths are hung, the tree is up
Christmas carols have been sung
The opening of presents has begun
We are all anticipating lots of fun
But always remembering the birth of God’s son
2016 is almost done!

Sailors
The sailors sail searching for some surprises
Singing and sailing along
The sailors are super excited
They spot a stingray, seahorse, and so much more
The sun is soon setting as the sailors sail back
Looking past the shore

The Cat on Mars
The cat on Mars, so very lonely
Meows and meows, hoping to have company
It’s survival is a mystery
Maybe eating the aliens that pass on by
The cat has been missing for nearly three years
Ever since the cat touched a puddle of water
Sending it flying, way over yander
