CHRISTMAS TIME

A wreath

At Christmas time

Hang up the ornaments

Being merry the whole day long

KRANSEKAKE

Making the dough was very hard

The wait seemed much too long

Cooling,cooling,and then baking and baking

Carefully removing the fragile rings from their molds

And waiting for them to finally be cool enough to stack

Stacking them ever so carefully,holding our breath until

Finally it was all done

RAINBOW

Apples as red as cherries

Oranges as orange as safety vests

Lemons yellow like the sun

Grass as green as limes

Water as blue as the sky

Plums as purple as a sunset

STASHER

This is a stasher

A stasher survives summer in southern Somalia

A stasher steals sugarcookies, salt, smoothies, and snowcones

A stasher likes sledding down snowy slip and slides and silencing silly snowmen

A stasher stole Santa’s sleigh by sliding Slovakian salsa sideways

My stasher socked Sally so hard she slept until the summer solstice

CANDY CANES

I love candy canes

They are great at Christmas

They have lots of stripes

NORTH POLE

Up at the North Pole air is frigid

It snow all the time up in that cold, cold place

Why, i don't think it's colder up in outer space

Up at the North Pole Santa’s reindeer live

Where they wait for Christmas Eve to transport toys and gifts

But there is one special reindeer up in that snowy mess

You won't hear of him any stories of christmas

His name is Bob but everyone calls him Stasher

He is a second cousin to main reindeer Dasher
